Compression type load cell is one of the sensitive sensors used for the measurement of mechanical forces. These load cells, which provide high accuracy especially in the measurement of vertical compression forces, are widely used in many industrial areas. Structurally durable and reliable, load cells increase measurement accuracy by providing precise results.
The working principle of the compression type load cell is based on converting the compressive force applied on it into an electrical signal. The strain gauge elements inside change shape when the compressive force is applied and this change creates a difference on the electrical resistance. This difference is measured by the electronic circuits of the load cell and calculated as a force value. Offering high sensitivity, these devices can detect changes even at the milligram level.
