What are Load Cell Types?

Many different systems are included in the loadcell category, from electronic scales used for home weight measurement to devices capable of measuring up to 2000 tons. These systems generally vary according to upper and lower weight limits and usage areas. Standard PVC flame retardant outer sheath, Aluminum and tinned copper braided shielded cable are used in our products to protect against external noise and signals.

What is Load Cell?

The history of weighing systems goes back thousands of years. Thus, weight measurement has always been a required area. Different methods were used to measure the weight of objects. Systems that measure with pressure give faster, more accurate,  and reliable results than others. Weighing systems known as mainspring scales are examples of these measuring devices. Load cell has a similar feature to these systems.Objects on the loadcell apply pressure to the surface. This pressure is converted into weight data by electrical systems. This mechanism is the basic working principle of the system known as loadcells. Electronic weight systems that measure according to the force and pressure of the objects on it are called this way. The devices in question have a great variety according to their usage areas and weight limits.

How does it work?

According to the law of gravity, each object exerts a certain force on the base. Weight is a measure of this power. Objects are heavy in the proportion of the force they exert on the surface. The load cell is based on this principle and converts the force exerted by the objects on them into weight values on a kilogram basis with the help of electrical circuits. The measurements of these signal converter devices are made with an electrical scheme known as the Wheatstone Bridge.

This system is based on a comparison of pressure values taken from different cells. Cells located in different parts of the surface convert the pressure exerted by the object into resistance value. When these resistance values are compared, the average result is considered the weight of the object. Thanks to this working mechanism, the electro-mechanical device gives fast and accurate results.What Should You Pay Attention While Choosing The Product?
